An Analysis of Social Issues on Telehealth after COVID-19 by Topic Modeling

Abstract
|
|
|
Objectives : This study aims to derive social issues about telehealth after the COVID-19 outbreak and to provide policy suggestions for the introduction of telehealth.
Methods : Through R programming, NAVER¡¯s 655 news articles (December 8, 2019 to January 31, 2021) regarding ¡®telehealth¡¯ are collected and examined using topic modeling.
Results : The news articles are categorized into 8 topics: ¡®Opinions of Ruling Party and Government¡¯, ¡®Regulation-Free Special Zone¡¯, ¡®Regulatory Sandbox¡¯, ¡®Approval of Telemedicine¡¯, ¡®Korean New Deal¡¯, ¡®Access to Health Services¡¯, ¡®Doctors' Strike¡¯, and ¡®Growth Industry¡¯.
Conclusion : Above all, telehealth has a high level of industrial attention. In order to implement the telehealth policy successfully, it should be preceded that mixed terms about telehealth are defined clearly. Through close cooperation with the entire healthcare field, telehealth should be introduced step by step. Therefore, it needs to discuss the introduction of telehealth to Community Care.
